Bret's Journey to College - Day 7

New York and a new New Yorker.  We were up and out of Rochester way too early, photo of Bryn and Lynn and her house.
We headed west to Rome, NY, where we visited family sites: the house my grandfather built and father lived in, the cemetery, and Nora's Candy - unfortunately this landmark was closed for the day, but we could buy the famous Turkey Joints chocolate at the local Price Chopper on Black River Blvd.

We arrived at cousin Maureen's house in Schenectady in the late afternoon, then joined Aunt Elizabeth and more cousins - Mark, Cindy, and Will at the homestead for dinner, my aunt and uncle's house which was turned into Scarborough's Restaurant. Bret highly recommends the Mac & Cheese Cordon Bleu.
